Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 October 2026
The short version
- Your notes belong to you. We only use them to run Noti for you.
- Free is free. Pro is a subscription you can cancel at any time, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
- AI answers can be wrong, so check anything important, and follow your school's rules on using AI.
- Be decent: no illegal, harmful or stolen content, and don't try to break or abuse the service.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Jude Idamunkem, a sole trader in Ireland who runs Noti ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Noti, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Noti.
2. Who can use Noti
You must be at least 16 years old. You sign in with your Google account, and you're responsible for keeping that account secure and for what happens under your Noti account. Please use one account per person.
3. Plans
Free
The Free plan includes notebooks, drawing and handwriting, files, and group notebooks with friends. It doesn't include AI features or Sparks.
Pro
- Pro adds the AI study tools (flashcards, quizzes, podcasts, study guides, asking questions about your notes, step-by-step math and handwriting search) and Sparks, up to a daily limit of AI actions shown in the app.
- Payment. Payments for Pro are processed by Stripe, our payment provider, which also sends your receipts. The price is shown before you pay.
- Renewal. Pro renews automatically each month or year until you cancel.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from the menu, under Manage subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
- Refunds. If you're a consumer in the EU or UK, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of your first Pro payment by emailing hello@notistudy.com. After that, payments aren't refundable except where the law requires, but you can always cancel future payments.
- Price changes. If the price of Pro changes, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it affects you, and you can cancel before then.
- Free Pro access. We sometimes give people free Pro, for example testers. We can end free access at any time.
4. AI features
- AI features are powered by Claude, made by Anthropic. When you use one, the content it needs is sent to Anthropic to produce the answer, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- AI answers can be inaccurate or incomplete. They are study aids, not professional advice. Always check important information, especially before an exam or for anything medical, legal or financial.
- You're responsible for following your school's or university's rules on using AI and on academic integrity.
- Daily AI limits keep Noti fair and affordable. Don't try to get around them, for example by using several accounts.
5. Your content
- You own what you create in Noti: your notes, drawings, files and recordings.
- So that we can run Noti, you give us permission to store, copy, process and display your content only as needed to provide the service. This includes syncing it between your devices, showing group notebooks to their members, showing public notebooks, likes and comments to other users, and sending content to our AI provider when you use an AI feature. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups, which expire.
- Make sure you have the right to upload what you add. Don't upload other people's copyrighted material unless you're allowed to.
- Group notebooks: anyone with the invite link can join and edit, so only share links with people you trust. The person who created a group notebook can delete it, including other members' contributions.
- Public notebooks can be read by anyone with a Noti account. You can make them private again at any time.
- Keep your own copies of anything important. We work hard to keep your notes safe, but we can't promise nothing will ever be lost. You can download a backup in Settings.
6. Things you must not do
- Upload or share anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit involving minors, or that violates someone else's rights or privacy.
- Bully, threaten or spam other users, including through comments or group notebooks.
- Try to access other people's accounts or private data, or get around our security, limits or payment.
- Upload viruses or harmful code, or overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service.
- Use Noti or its AI features to break the law, or in breach of Anthropic's usage policies.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. Where reasonable, we'll tell you why first.
7. Ending your account
You can stop using Noti at any time. To delete your account and all your content, email hello@notistudy.com from the address on your account. Cancel any Pro subscription first. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If we ever shut Noti down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice so you can download your notes, and we'll refund any unused prepaid Pro time.
8. Changes to Noti and to these terms
Noti will keep improving, so features may change. If we make an important change to these terms, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Noti after that, you accept the new terms.
9. Our responsibility to you
- We provide Noti with reasonable care and skill, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free or never lose data.
- To the extent the law allows, we're not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses, such as lost grades, lost opportunities or lost profits. Our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem, or €50 if that's more.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. If you have a problem, please email us first and we'll try to sort it out. If we can't, the courts of Ireland will deal with it, but if you live elsewhere in the EU, you can also bring a claim in your own country and keep the protections of your local consumer law.
